Danny, a California native grew up in the Bay Area and had the privilege to study under Chuck Brown for six years learning his “Tension Release Technique”, with other notable peers including Terry Bozzio, Steve Smith (Journey), David Garibaldi (Tower of Power) Brad Hargreaves (Third Eye Blind). Danny joined the Alan Parsons Live Project in March 2010 for their tour of Eastern Europe and The Middle East. Since then, Danny has toured over sixty countries with the band and recorded the live double CD “LiveSpan” in Germany, released in 2013. In summer 2016 the band released a live DVD filmed in Medellin, Columbia with the Columbia Philharmonic symphony titled “The Alan Parsons Symphonic Project”. 2019 Danny played on The Alan Parsons Projects latest studio album titled “The Secret.” In 2021 the band released two live albums one with the “Israel Philharmonic” and the other filmed in Utrecht Netherlands. In 2012 Danny became a music instructor at PJ Olsson’s Rock Camp, an in depth two week music program that is held once a year in Houghton Michigan. Danny's role included instructing drum workshops, developing music, and serving as a musical director to over sixty kids ranging from ages 11-18 years old. Danny continues to serve as a mentor to his students. From 2008 - 2018 Danny joined forces with the incomparable Scott Weiland (Frontman of Velvet Revolver & Stone Temple Pilots) to record tracks on the albums “Happy in Galoshes”, “The Most Wonderful Time of The Year”, “Not Dead and Not For Sale”, and became a member of Scott Weiland’s solo project Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts album “Blaster” released in March 2015. Danny appeared numerous times on the late-night TV circuit including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Ball, and Last Call with Carson Daly. From 2004 - 2007 Danny was a member of The Mother Truckers (Austin based country rockabilly band) touring and recording their album titled “ Let’s all go to Bed” on Funzalo Records. Danny was a founding member of the band Protein signed to Sony’s W.O.R.K. Group. The band released two full length albums and toured the U.S. from 1998 - 2003 with Sugar Ray, No Doubt, Limp Bizkit, Primus, and Sublime. Protein also had an MTV Asia Buzz clip. Danny's professional collaborations throughout the years include, Steve Vai, David Foster, Justin Hayward (The Moody Blues), Vince Neil, Jay Bowman (Michael Franti and Spearhead) Jakob Dylan, Eric Burdon (The Animals) Wally Palmer (The Romantics) Les Claypool (Primus), Mark Rivera (Billy Joel), Kip Winger (Winger), Michael Devin (Kenny Wayne Shepherd and White Snake), PJ Olsson, James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins), and Sarah Bettens (K’s choice) and appeared in her “Can’t Get Out” music video. Danny is currently accepting students beginner/advanced based out of his home located in Burbank.
